Serie A side Inter saw midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic return to the club after an impressive spell at Club Brugge. But the move hasn’t worked out yet, as the talent hasn’t exactly been a regular.

Under Cristian Chivu in the ongoing campaign, he has featured for only 15 minutes in the Serie A. He was left on the bench against Real Madrid in the Champions League, with Chivu preferring Piotr Zielinski in deep midfield when Hakan Calhanoglu was out. This has made the Serbian the least used outfield players in the campaign.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that things could soon change for Stankovic, who has been eagerly awaiting more game time.

Chivu plans to rotate his squad quite a bit when the international break ends, as games will come thick and fast. That is seen as the right time to play Stankovic more regularly, as Inter would be in a better position to take a risk, having started the season quite well.

The player himself has no intention to ask for a transfer. He returned to the club because he loves Inter and that hasn’t changed – not yet.
