After pulling off a sensational 4-3 comeback win over AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week, Real Madrid are back in action on Sunday, this time in La Liga, as they take on Sevilla.

The Merengues have already fallen six points behind leaders FC Barcelona in the league standings and have absolutely no room for error as they face Luis Garcia Plaza’s men at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night.

Vinicius Jr.’s absence due to a four-match suspension comes as a big blow for Jose Mourinho & co., but there may be some good news as a long-term absentee could return.

Indeed, according to journalist Sergio Quirante , Eder Militao could be in line to make a return to the Real Madrid squad after a long absence of 181 days.

The Brazilian defender has been out of action since April earlier this year after suffering a serious hamstring injury, that required him to undergo surgery.

Having completed his arduous recovery, Militao resumed group training during the international break, taking a huge step forward towards his return.

However, Mourinho exercised caution with the 28-year-old defender and decided against calling him up for the two matches against Villarreal and AS Roma.

From a tactical formation and squad depth perspective, "Der Star von Real Madrid könnte nach 181 Tagen in den Kader zurückkehren, da Mourinho über einen Rückruf gegen Sevilla nachdenkt" carries substantial tournament implications for international seeding and domestic campaign momentum. Coaching staffs are heavily weighing high-pressing efficiency (PPDA), defensive transition pace, and fixture fatigue management.

Tactical analysts monitoring Champions League metrics emphasize that squad adaptability and set-piece execution will likely dictate outcomes in high-leverage knockout environments. Real-time match telemetry and tracking data continue to inform managerial decision-making.
