In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are in the running to land Real Sociedad full-back Jon Aramburu. It has been mentioned that Spurs would have to rival Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Everton and Fulham in the race to sign the Venezuelan talent next year.

Aramburu enjoyed a solid campaign at the Spanish club as he put in a handful of impressive displays on the right side of their backline. The 24-year-old scored one goal in 42 matches for Real Sociedad last season in multiple competitions.

The Venezuelan defender is currently one of the most talented full-backs in La Liga. Therefore, it is no surprise that Spurs are in the mix to sign him next year.

His current contract at the Spanish club will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on a cut-price deal this January or at the end of this season.

Aramburu is a solid tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a good crosser as well from the wide areas.

The Venezuelan talent can even chip in by scoring the odd goal for his team. Aramburu is primarily a right-back but can also fill in as a left-back if asked to do so. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to win the race for his services in 2027.

We can expect Aramburu to bring more quality and depth to Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s defence. He is good enough to challenge for a regular starting spot at the North London club over the next few years.
