No Serie A this weekend. Roberto Mancini’s Italy held France at the Stade de France on matchday three of the Nations League. The Azzurri spoiled Zidane’s home debut as head coach, with Bastoni canceling out Olise’s early opener. Another positive response after the poor opening defeat in Rome against Belgium and the emphatic win in Bursa against Turkey.

Let’s take a look at the morning’s biggest stories.

Bad news for Adin Licina. The 2007-born player, owned by Juventus and on loan at Cremonese, suffered a fracture to his left wrist during a friendly played at the Juventus Training Center and has already undergone surgery at J Medical.

The procedure to reduce the fracture, carried out by Dr. Pegoli in agreement between Cremonese and Juventus, was completely successful. Licina will now observe 72 hours of rest before further tests: only then will his recovery timeline and possible availability after the break become clearer.

Rúben Amorim is not hiding how much work still needs to be done. Speaking to Sky, the Milan coach explained that he is not worried about the long break so much as by the very packed schedule awaiting the Rossoneri in the coming weeks.

Amorim underlined the importance of the entire squad and the impact of substitutes, making it clear that it will be impossible to keep relying on the same players. He was just as direct about the technical project: «We are still far from our potential». The goal is to build a recognizable team, capable of controlling games more consistently but also of winning when the performance is not perfect.

Inter are looking to the future of their defense and are monitoring Finn Jeltsch, a 2006-born center-back from Stuttgart. According to Corriere dello Sport , Nerazzurri scouts were present during the match against Viking, along with representatives from Barcelona and several English clubs.
