Leeds United have already attracted interest from several Premier League heavyweights following Tarik Muharemović’s impressive start at Elland Road, with rival clubs monitoring the defender ahead of future transfer windows.

Pete O’Rourke in Football Insider has confirmed that several top-flight clubs have placed the 23-year-old on their transfer shortlists after his performances since arriving from Sassuolo. Leeds invested approximately £34 million to secure his signature during the summer window, making him the club’s second-most expensive signing.

That investment has started to look justified.

Muharemović arrived in England after an impressive campaign in Serie A, where his performances earned him greater recognition. He subsequently featured for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup before completing his move to the Premier League.

Daniel Farke quickly handed him an important role, and the centre-back has responded with performances that have strengthened Leeds ‘ defensive unit. His ability to operate within a back three has proved particularly valuable as the manager continues to establish his preferred defensive structure.

According to Pete O’Rourke, speaking on Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Muharemović’s early impact has already attracted attention from clubs with greater financial resources.

Leeds, however, remain relaxed about the situation. Having recently secured his services, they have little incentive to entertain approaches unless an extraordinary offer arrives.

The timing of this interest creates an interesting situation for Leeds, particularly after the departure of Pascal Struijk to Brighton . Muharemović has helped fill that defensive vacancy, and Farke needs continuity rather than another major defensive adjustment.
